Unconventional Creativity with a Plan

Do you need a creative mind for your project? Someone who thinks in an unconventional way but still meets your deadlines in a structured and reliable manner? Would you like to work with someone in the creative field who relies on her in-depth knowledge as well as best practices? You want the outcome to look good and “work” for your project, but you also want it to be “different” and “something special”?

You’ve come to the right place!

Book me as a freelance illustrator, (media) designer or artist and rely on me for your creative commissioned work.

My Background

Hi, I’m Hanna aka Weirdolight. I grew up among artists and took the advanced art course in school, but also the advanced math course. I have been professionally trained in media design for 3 years, studied business information technology and have worked in the creative field and in IT management for many years.

I have advised customers, created corporate designs, created print media for large and small companies and built websites. I accompanied creative projects for major customers in a medium-sized printing company and selected and trained the new media designer trainees. I had a small, creative company myself while studying. I was responsible for the topic of “customer ID” in a globally known German company in IT. And in a small software startup I did “simply everything” from online marketing and social media to frontend development. In short: I am a creative all-rounder with a lot of experience in pretty much everything.

What others say

“She has very good analytical-conceptual and at the same time pragmatic judgment and thinking.

“Due to her extensive and particularly well-founded specialist knowledge, she always achieved well above-average success.

These and other wonderful-sounding sentences are written in my job references.

During my training as a media designer, the vocational school gave me a final grade of 1.0 (very good). The study of business informatics gave me the title “Bachelor of Science” and my bachelor thesis entitled “Software-based Social Media Moderation” was also rated “very good”.

All of this is just for the sake of completeness, because, to be honest, I don’t think highly of certificates. 😉 Much nicer were these compliments that I have received from colleagues in the course of my working life. Colleagues of whom I think very highly:

“You are a light in the dark.”

“As long as you stay, I’ll stay too.”

“You cannot leave! We need you!”

What's the catch now?

I’ll be honest with you: If I think I’m not suitable for your project, I’ll let you know. And if you think I’m the wrong person for it, just tell me that. And then we’re both happy and go our separate ways again. OK? Awesome!

I like to have high standards for myself and for my work. I like challenges, I like to solve problems – and I like to solve them GOOD. I am a “good girl” who likes to do things “right”.

That’s why you shouldn’t work with me if you need “only a quick bit of graphics”. Instead:

You should work with me if...

You are looking for something special and want to know that your creative project is in good hands

  • You are looking for someone who will give you comprehensive advice on illustration style, design, material and costs and then provide you with various structured solutions with pros and cons, from which you can choose
  • You want to work with someone who has in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the print and digital industry. With someone who thinks carefully about what the most important tasks in YOUR project are.
  • You’d prefer to just hand over your project and have the finished solution delivered in the end – but you still want to be informed about the progress in between so that you can intervene at any time.

You’ve come to the right place!

Also, if…

  • You are planning a creative project, but you are unsure how to proceed.
  • You’d like to chat with someone about your creative project, someone who won’t tell you 💩.
  • You just want a few hints for your next steps with your creative project, an honest first assessment from someone who knows what she is doing. From someone who is creative and a bit of a weirdo – but who also knows how to do business, since time is money and money rules the world. Whether we like it or not.

Welcome to Weirdolight. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good match.
